This is kind of like watching grass grow.

I would also like to say that adding madder root to the vat does not alter the color of the indigo but provides a bacteria that activates and enhances fermentation.
Madder does dye cloth but only if you boil the roots and save the dye liquor and use a mordant.

I keep seeing people online stating otherwise.
I should add this post to the online indigo class later.
